Over the last 30+ years I have balanced my Real Estate Career with my interest and studies in art and alternative medicine. The Young Body Mind Institute was founded and located at my Home/Office in Berryville, Virginia. The library houses all of my books, CD’s, Tapes and DVD/videos from various areas of study. I refer to the “golden garage” as a learning, meditation and exchange of information center. Using the clear span open space of the three bay garage to meet, share, discuss, teach, practice and party.
My mother was diagnosed with the onset of Alzheimer’s 2007 and I found myself flying between Virginia and Reno often. Taking care of my mother and making decisions for her health and care changed the way that I looked at her health and my own. By August 2008 mother needed 24 hour care and I was in Reno for the long haul. Along the way, I reconnected with Phil, a dear friend of mine from the late 70′s. Our relationship reignited in a big way and we married September 2009.
Now that I am primarily in Reno, my goal is to turn Young Body Mind Institute into an on-line meeting place, where I can share the ideas about what I have learned and the people I have learned from. My interest has always been Alternative Medicine where the cause is treated instead of the effect, and the Individual body and mind is treated a whole, not just chasing symptoms
Early this year, a friend introduced me to Univera. Although I was initially skeptical, my curiosity and desire to learn about the science behind the 32 natural products led me to do my own research.
